The Sports Program at Aseltine is much more than just play time; it is an integral part of our overall behavior management program. The Sports Program is designed to develop growth, physical health, motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. These are areas that require specialized, individual attention in special needs students. Furthermore, Aseltine’s participation in the CAPSES league allows our students real world opportunities to learn and practice teamwork and communication skills while competing against other teams in Flag Football, Basketball, and Softball. The lessons that our students learn through their active participation in the Sports program transcend the courts and playing fields, and establish foundations in work ethic, communication, and a discipline that will carry through into the future pursuits of our young people.
